The Varsity dancers are required to a three-season (Summer, Fall, and Winter) commitment during the school year. We perform at various Varsity football and basketball games, including the Homecoming Pep Rally and Parade. We also perform at all home post-season playoff games for both the football and basketball teams, including the State Championship game.
The competition portion of the season starts in early November. The Varsity team competes at various competitions on Saturdays throughout winter. In the past the team has attended the Oak Creek Dance Invite, the Ashwaubenon Dance Invite, Little Chute Invitational, the Watertown Spirit Invitational, the Menomonee Falls Dance Invite, and the Kaukauna Dance Classic. At the end of the season the team competes at the WACPC Regional Competition with both competition routines. If either/both of the routines qualifies at Regionals, the team moves onto to compete at State in La Crosse.
Every other year the Varsity Dance Team travels to Orlando, Florida to compete in the Contest of Champions. They typically take 3 team routines (both competition routines from that season, and a third routine of coaches' choice). In 2018, the Varsity Team was awarded Grand Pom Champions of the entire competition!
The Varsity team members and parents are responsible for completing a large amount of fundraising throughout the season. Smaller fundraisers, such as car washes, will begin during the summer. There are typically 3-4 larger fundraisers that will occur each year. The money raised goes towards team expenses (competition fees, bus fees, new uniforms, etc.). The Varsity team also spends a great deal of time volunteering and giving back to the community. The last two years the girls have helped out with the Hunger Task Force and the Briggs and Al Run.
